Have you ever struggled with finding bras that fit and didn’t know where to turn? Welcome to our Best Lingerie Stores series, where we’re chatting with the best local lingerie stores and sharing their bra fitting expertise with you. These lingerie stores have helped hundreds of thousands of women find their favorite bras — and they want to help you look and feel your best too. This week, we chatted with Sam Conover of Broad Lingerie in Toronto, Ontario.

All About Broad Lingerie:

Parfait Team: What inspired you to start a business?

Sam: I’m lucky to have over a decade of experience in the lingerie industry, primarily as a bra fitter working in a lingerie boutique. During that time I encountered thousands of full busted folks who felt like outliers because of their big breasts. As both a fitter and a full busted woman I hated the fact that despite the efforts of some wonderful specialty retailers, many full busted people feel that bra shopping is a stressful, awkward experience and I wanted to find a way to change that! After a brief stint pursuing a career as an objects conservator, I realized that my true passion is and always has been helping people feel better in their bodies and that creating my own space was the best way to do this.

PT: What about the lingerie industry interested you?

Sam: When I was ten years old my Nana got me a subscription to Vogue which cemented my love of fashion. I’m fascinated by the way that combining different fabrics, shapes and colours can create a different mood. But as a curvy, fuller busted woman, fashion and lingerie have not been easily accessible and societal pressures led to me hiding my body. When I was first fit for a bra, a whole new world of beautiful garments opened up to me. Not only did my clothes look better with a bra in the right size, there were actually bras out there that not only fit my body, but looked beautiful doing it. Wearing bras that fit me and made me feel good about myself really increased my confidence. My goal is to help other people have a similar experience.

PT: Your store is located in Toronto, Ontario. How did you decide on the location?

Sam: A combination of sentimentality and practicality! I grew up in the East End of Toronto and it’s a neighbourhood I’ve always loved for its diversity and sense of community. When looking for a location I found that most of the lingerie stores were west, north or central with a huge gap in the true east end!

PT: Tell us about your store name. What inspired the name Broad Lingerie?

Sam: My store name, Broad Lingerie, is inspired by the type of customer who shops at my store. Smart, savvy, funny and laid back. And of course there’s a pun there. Because I’m a full bust specialty store, the type of people who shop at my store have broad chest measurements!

PT: What do you enjoy most about your local community?

Sam: I really enjoy how much everyone wants to support local businesses. People in this neighbourhood know they have to “vote with their dollars” if they want unique independent shops in their area. Most of my customers hear about the store through word of mouth – people have a good experience and they want to share the love by telling their friends and family. I live in this neighbourhood now and like to support local small business I’m looking for a place to eat, drink or shop.

Bra Fitting at Broad Lingerie:

PT: Why is it important for women to get a professional bra fitting?

Sam: While it is possible to measure yourself or crowd-source bra fitting information, the most time and labour efficient way is to go to a boutique. A good bra fitter will have the experience of working with many different body types and will have a range of different styles on hand to experiment with.  The immediacy of working with someone face to face means communication can really flow so a person is able to get the best bra for them rather than some sort of idealized “best bra for X size and shape.” A good fitting bra will always be a combination of technical fit, personal comfort and aesthetics. Working together in real-time is the best way to combine the professional knowledge and experience of a bra fitter with the wants and needs of a client.

PT: What do you wish all women knew about lingerie and bra fitting?

Sam: I wish that people knew that lingerie can be whatever you want it to be. That it doesn’t have to be utilitarian and practical if you love bright colours and patterns. That you can wear black lace for yourself and you don’t need a partner to “look sexy for.” That if you hate bows and frills there are more streamlined options out there for you (and you can always snip off the bows!).

As for bra fitting, I want people to know that if they’ve been wearing the “wrong” size for them, it’s not their fault and it’s not because they are a “weird” size. A lot of people don’t know that way more sizes exist than the traditional 32-38 A-D. A lot of stores carry only a limited range but pretend that they can fit everyone. So that’s how you get a person who buys a 36DD when they’d experience a better fit in a 32F. A lot of people don’t know that they can have something that fits and feels better. I hate how the lingerie industry often frames the fact that a person is wearing the wrong size as yet another thing that women need to fix about themselves. The whole “80% of women are wearing the wrong size – and that includes you!” The problem is accessibility – a lack of access to knowledge and options.

PT: You’re committed to offering a diverse range of styles and sizes for your customers. What do you look for when selecting new styles?

Sam: I look for something that fills a gap in our inventory. Sometimes that’s a particular aesthetic we’re missing, sometimes that’s a particular silhouette. For example, a lot of my customers appreciate having wirefree options, but it’s harder to find wirefree bras that support, come in larger sizes and still look pretty. So when Parfait launched their Adrianna bralette it was a sure thing!  I also try to look at styles through my customers’ eyes. It’s easy to get fatigued in this industry (“Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.”) but I have to remember that my customers aren’t looking at lingerie day in, day out, year after year. So while a strappy bra may feel a little overdone to me, I realize it may be new and exciting to a lot of my customers!

PT: What is the largest bra size you carry?

Sam: We regularly stock up to a 44JJ (UK) but we order larger sizes as needed!

Broad Lingerie

PT: How many bras does a woman actually need in her lingerie wardrobe?

Sam: A person who wears bras frequently should have at least three everyday bras to rotate, plus a sports bra if they’re active. The type of bras will depend on their clothing and lifestyle (so if you don’t wear white or light clothing you don’t need a skin coloured bra!)

PT: Some of us are shy about buying colored bras. What advice would you give to a woman who loves color, but isn’t sure how to incorporate it into her wardrobe?

Sam: I’d let her know that a colourful bra will be invisible under most dark coloured clothing. So a bright purple bra can be worn under dark clothing just like a black bra – except in this situation she gets a fun little secret just for herself. I’d also tell her that if she was feeling a little adventurous, a pretty colourful bra can be incorporated into an outfit like a piece of statement jewelry or any other accessory. For example, a hint of pretty blue lace peeking out of a blue v-neck dress!

PT: What can you tell our readers about the bra fitting experience at Broad Lingerie?

Sam: First off, a fitting is never mandatory. Our motto is “as much help as you need.” We try to tailor our service-style to the needs and wants of each particular client. So if someone prefers to try things on without the help of a fitter they’re allowed to work on their own. If someone gets stressed out by mirrors, we’ll cover the mirror! At Broad, a fitting more about collaboration rather than instruction. The bra fitter has their product knowledge, experience and expertise and the customer has their preferences and lived experiences. By working together they can find the best bra for the customer’s unique wants and needs.

PT: Do we need an appointment for a bra fitting?

Sam: Not at all! Walk ins are always welcome – but on weekends things can get a little busy, so appointments are always available if you don’t have time to wait!

When was the last time you went bra shopping? Have you been putting it off because you struggle with finding bras that fit? If so, you’re not alone.

For many women, bra shopping is challenging and stressful. They dread going to the store to try on bras with the hope that one of them fits. They wish there was a way to try things on before ordering online because there’s a chance at least one of them won’t work out. Sure, there are numerous bra sizing calculators and bra fitters to help you figure out your bra size – but there isn’t a foolproof way to tell if a bra will fit or not.

In most cases, bra shopping involves a lot of trial and error. Even if you know your bra size, you’ll still need to try a bunch of bras on until you’ve found “the one”. After all, your bra size is just a guide. There’s a chance you may wear need to size up or down in the band or cup (using bra sister sizing) to get the fit just right. And then there are the differences in sizing between brands and styles. Even the fabric choice and construction of the bra play a role in whether it will fit or not. No matter what bra size you wear, there is a lot to consider.

If you’ve ever wondered why buying a bra that fits is so hard, this article is for you. Read on for the full scoop.

Not all bra brands fit the same

Let’s say you find a demi bra you like from one brand. You’re a fan of the fit, color, and style. So far, this one’s a keeper. Then you move on to the next bra. It’s also a demi bra and in the same size, but from a different brand. Held up next to each other, the bras look pretty similar. But when you try the second one on, it feels completely different. You’d need to go up at least one band size in this one to make it work. You ask yourself: “How can two bras of the same style fit so differently?”

Here’s why: There is no universal standard for bra sizing. Bra sizes can vary from brand to brand and style to style. Fabrication can vary, too. For example, One of the bras you tried on may have a stretch lace band while the other features a sturdy power mesh band – both can change the overall fit of the bra. Another example? Each brand uses their own patterns and grades (scales their sizing up or down) according. So even though they may look similar, the fit could be very different.

Not all bra brands design beyond core sizing

Why do so many brands only go up to a DD or DDD cup in sizing? You wouldn’t believe the amount of stores I’ve been into that only carry up to a DD cup. On the other end, women who wear an A or AA cup also have a hard time finding their size in store. So why are so many stores leaving petite customers, full-busted customers, and plus size customers out? The answer is a bit complicated. A lingerie brand may choose to limit their sizing to a specific range, which can negatively affect women who like their lingerie but wear a bra size outside of the brand’s size range. The biggest factor is typically cost. It can be very expensive to expand a sizing range beyond the brand’s core sizing (so some brands never do). While those brands may have made a decision to stick with their core sizing (which unfortunately leaves a lot of women out), there are plenty of inclusive lingerie brands that go beyond a DDD cup and are dedicated to helping women find bras that fit well and feel amazing on.

From differences in sizing to a lack of options in many stores to the general frustration of having to try on a bunch of bras, we hear you loud and clear – lingerie shopping is tough. We hope this guide gives you a little insight into why you might be having trouble finding a bra that fits. If you need help with finding the right fit, we recommend visiting a local lingerie boutique for help. The expert bra fitters at lingerie boutiques can determine your bra size and hand pick bras for you to try on – simplifying the process and saving you valuable time in the fitting room and out.

One last tip: Once you find a bra that fits well, do yourself a favor and buy it in a few colors. There’s nothing wrong with rotating between 3-4 bras of the same style. When it comes to bras and underwear, buying multiples is a good thing.

How do you wash your bras? Do you throw them in the washer or do you wash each one by hand? Do you hang them to dry or do you pop them in the dryer?

You’ve probably heard that proper lingerie care is crucial if you want your bras to last a long time. How you care for your bras (including how you store them!) has a direct impact on the lifespan and fit of your bras. A bra that is properly cared for will likely last you much longer than a bra that is washed and dried without care.

Well-made, high-quality bras should typically last you 6 months to one year. It might seem easier to just throw your bras in the washer and dryer, but it can actually end up costing you more in the long run. Damaged bras have to be replaced much more frequently than bras that are cared for. So by taking a few extra minutes to adjust the temp or the way you dry your bras, you can save yourself a trip to the lingerie store and a few hundred dollars every few months.

Wondering how to best care for your bras? Read on for the basic do’s and don’t’s of lingerie and bra care:

Do

Do follow the bra’s care tag instructions

Before washing your bras, be sure to read the care instructions on the inner tags. Most bras can be washed in cool water with gentle detergent, but some require special care. The care tags will usually note the suggested water temperature, if you should hand wash, if you can iron them, or if they need to be dry cleaned.

If you’re still unsure how to care for the bra, you can always contact the brand directly and ask for some help. For Parfait bras, we recommend handwashing them in cool water with a detergent formulated for lingerie and laying them flat to dry with the cups facing up.

Do hand wash when you can

We always recommend handwashing when you can. Handwashing is a much gentler option than machine washing. Before washing your bras, separate your delicates from your jeans and shirts, hook each bra, and them in separate mesh lingerie bags. Wash with clothing in the same color family to prevent color bleeding and damage to lighter colors. For more on handwashing, check out our guide here.

Do wash your every day bras after every 2-3 wears

As long as you’re not wearing the same bra every day, most of your bras can be washed every 2-3 wears. Of course, you may find yourself washing them more often in the summer and if you sweat a lot. We recommend rotating between 2-4 bras each week, so you don’t wear the same bra two days in a row. Breaks between wear allow the elastic to retain its shape and keep your bras looking new for longer. Switching out your bras every day is a good thing!

Do wash your sports bras after every wear

Sports bras need to be washed more often than every day bras. Most sports bras can be machine washed, but check the care instructions first. If you machine wash, hook the bras, zip them up separately in mesh lingerie bags, add a gentle detergent, and wash in cold water on a short cycle for delicates.

Don’t

Don’t use hot water to wash your bras

Hot water can shrink fabrics like cotton and ruin rayon, silk, and satin. Many fabrics are not designed to be washed in hot water. It’s best to stick with cool water instead. Also, don’t let your bras soak for too long – 10-15 minutes is more than enough time for them to sit in soapy water. And don’t forget to rinse them and pat them dry. Never wring them out. Twisting the fabric could bend the cups and do more harm than good.

Don’t throw your bras in the dryer

The heat from the dryer can do irreversible damage to delicate lingerie. It can warp and wrinkle cups, stretch out elastic bands and straps, and bend and rip hook and eye closures. Instead of throwing your bras in the dryer, we recommend laying them flat or hanging them to dry with the center front of the bra draped over the hanger.

Don’t hang your bras to dry by their straps

If laying your bras flat to dry isn’t an option, hanging them is the next best thing. Instead of hanging them by their straps, hang them by their center gore instead. The center front of the bra (the small part between the cups that looks like it joins them together) is typically made of a low-stretch or no stretch fabric and is often stabilized, so you don’t have to worry about it stretching out.

Bra straps, on the other hand, may stretch out from the weight of the hanging bra and can only be shortened so much. Once they’re stretched out, your only options are to take the bra to tailor to shorten the straps (or do the alteration yourself) or replace the bra with a new one.

Ever feel like your swimsuit is letting you down? You’re probably not getting the support you need.

But is it ever a good idea to wear a bra under your swimsuit? We’re diving into this question and more in our guide today.

Why wear a bra under a swimsuit?

You might wear a bra under your swimsuit if you feel like your bust isn’t being supported with the swimsuit alone. Plenty of women wear bras under their sports bras, why not wear one under your swimsuit too? But bras can show and look bulky under swimsuit tops. Unless you’re wearing a one-piece swimsuit with thick straps, you’ll likely be able to see your bra underneath.

Plus, bras aren’t designed to withstand chlorine, salt water, and sunlight. Sand, salt, and sea can wreak serious havoc on a bra. Simply put, wearing a bra to the beach could seriously damage the bra and ruin it beyond repair. It’s just not worth ruining a perfectly good bra when there are better options out there – like bra-sized swimsuit tops.

Have you heard of bra-sized swimwear?

If you’re not getting enough support from your swimsuit tops, you need bra-sized swimwear. Bra-sized swimsuits fit like your favorite bra but look like cute swimsuits. They have the added benefit of underwire (to make sure all of your breast tissue is contained within the cups), sturdy bands for extra support, and strategically constructed cups for lift (yes, there are swimsuit tops that will actually lift your bust!). No need to worry about a wardrobe malfunction while you’re enjoying your day at the beach or pool – a bra-sized swimwear top will stay in place.

Bra-sized swimsuit tops are an excellent option for D and DD+ cup sizes, but they fit smaller cup sizes (A, B, and C) beautifully too. If you know your bra size, they’re easy to shop for. No more worrying about whether or not the top will fit because you already know it’s the right bra size.

Also, bra-sized swimsuits come in a range of different styles from bikinis to tankinis to one-piece swimsuits and everything in between. There’s truly a style for everyone.

Where to buy bra-sized swimwear

Your local lingerie boutique is a treasure trove for bra-sized swimwear during the summer months. Many lingerie stores even carry hard to find sizes, including 28-44+ band sizes and A to K+ cup sizes. When you shop your local lingerie store, you also have the added benefit of getting a bra fitting from a professional bra fitter. These lingerie experts can make sure you’re buying the right bra size for your swimsuit top, so you’re guaranteed to look amazing.

If you’re shopping out of season for a holiday trip or honeymoon, head online for the best deals. By purchasing a bra-sized swimsuit online in the off months, you can shop with peace of mind that you’ll be getting a beautiful, supportive swimsuit and a sweet deal. We can’t think of anything better than that!

Did you know that 85-90% of a bra’s support comes from the bra band? It’s true.

The majority of a bra’s support comes from the band – and not the straps and cups like we often believe. Because of this, you need a snug, supportive band that stays in place for the best fit. Without a snug band, the bra is more likely to move and you’ll have to adjust it frequently throughout the day.

There are a number of things you can do to make your bra fit better. Tightening the bra band is the first thing you should do when you feel like you’re losing support. By fastening the bra on a different hook, you can change the fit of the bra band in minutes.

If your bra band feels too loose, here’s how to make it tighter:

First, determine if you need a new bra

Are you trying to fix an old bra that has seen better days? We all have a favorite bra that we can’t bear to part with, but sometimes it’s best to toss it and replace it with a new one. You need a new bra if: the bra band is stretched out, the gaps are wrinkled or gapping, the bra is too small, the bra is too big, the straps are stretched out, the underwire is coming out of the bra, the fabric is pilling, the bra doesn’t fit anymore, or if the bra is stained, damaged, or in rough shape.

Try fastening it on a different hook

Wearing your bra on the loosest bra hook? It might be time to move it to the middle or innermost bra hooks for a snugger fit. Of course, this won’t solve the problem if the band is a size too big, but it can make the bra band fit slightly smaller and feel a little bit more supportive.

Opt for your bra sister size

Your bra sister size includes two bra sizes with the closest cup volume to your regular bra size. Remember, your bra size is more of a guide than a set rule, so you may need to start with your regular bra size and try on a few different bra sizes to get the perfect fit.

Have a tailor take in your bra band

Some lingerie boutiques and stores like Nordstrom offer bra alteration services, so it’s worth checking them out. A tailor can shorten the bra band so you can start the bra on the loosest hook (which will make the bra last longer than starting it on the tightest hook after purchase.)

If your bra is damaged beyond repair, it’s better to start fresh. The bra fitters at your local lingerie boutique can help you shop for new bras (and maybe even find a comparable replacement for your old one if you want!)

In short, a loose bra band will only let you down. Why not visit a local lingerie boutique and get it all sorted out?

Should you wear a bra to bed? During the day, a bra provides comfort and support, so it makes sense that some women would choose to wear a bra to bed. A bra contains breast tissue and offers lightweight support for tender or sore breasts.

It’s not uncommon to wear a lightweight bralette or wire-free bra to sleep during and after pregnancy, during their menstrual cycle, and after surgery.

Wearing a bra to bed can help alleviate breast discomfort while sleeping, keep you cool and comfortable, make it easier to breastfeed, and reduce friction.

Of course, the decision to wear a bra to bed is entirely up to you. You have to go with what is most comfortable for you.

If you do choose to wear a bra to sleep, here’s how to find a comfortable bra:

1.  Visit a local lingerie store

Unsure where to shop? Your local lingerie boutique is your best bet for a comfortable bra to sleep in. You’ll be wearing this bra for 5-8+ hours every night, so comfort is key. A bra fitter at a local lingerie store can help you find a lightweight style to wear to sleep. Plus, you’ll be able to try on the bras before you buy and take it home that day – which is just another benefit of shopping at a local store.

2.  Opt for a wireless bra

Wireless bras are among the most comfortable sleeping bras. In fact, it’s best not to wear a bra with underwire because the underwire can move and dig into skin as you move around in your sleep. Wired bras can also cause pain and discomfort and may do more damage than good to delicate breast tissue. If wearing a bra to bed is something you want to do, we recommend sleeping in a lightweight wireless bra, bralette, or stretchy sports bra with moisture-wicking fabric (a bra that you’d wear to a yoga class is typically a good choice).

3.  Bralettes work too

Looking for a little extra support at night? A bralette is an ideal option. Bralettes with lightly lined cups in soft materials like modal and stretch lace will be your go-to for a peaceful night’s sleep. Opt for a pullover style if you want something a little less restrictive or a bralette with a hook and eye closure if you feel you need more support.

4.  Get the right size

The key to a comfortable sleep bra is lightweight support. When choosing a bra to sleep in, make sure to buy one that’s not too tight. You don’t need the same level of support that you’d find in your every day bras or sports bras. A lightly lined bra will more than suffice.

For the fit, you want a bra band that gently hugs your rib cage and cups that contain your breast tissue without feeling constricting. The straps can be worn a little looser than your normal bra – you should be able to fit 2-3 fingers between your skin and the straps for a comfortable fit.

5.  Pay attention to the fabric

Never underestimate the fabric when it comes to comfort. Sleeping bras made of modal and cotton will be more comfortable than one made of mesh, for example. You want to choose a fabric that won’t irritate your skin while you’re sleeping. Avoid bras with excess seams and boning in the band (though you can always take the boning out yourself or have a seamstress do it if you fall in love with a boned style). When it comes to sleeping bras, simple is best. Opt for the bra that almost feels like you’re wearing nothing and rotate your bras so you’re not wearing the same one two nights in a row.

Should you wear a bra to bed? At the end of the day, the choice is yours.

Buying new lingerie is exciting. Who doesn’t love taking home a new bra or lingerie set? Of course, we’ve all had a moment where we felt like the lingerie fit differently when we got it home. Maybe it’s the lighting or the way it’s fitting you, but you just know something is off. You don’t remember it fitting like that at the store.

Wondering why your new bras are feeling uncomfortable? It could be due to a few different reasons. Read on for some of the most common causes.

The bra band is tighter than you’re used to

Has it been a while since you last bought new bras? When you become accustomed to a loose-fitting band, a snug band can feel tighter than normal. A change in your bra size (like buying a smaller bra band) has a direct impact on the fit. In fact, it might take a week or two for you to get used to the snug band of your new bra.

If it’s not the bra size, it could be the fabric. For example, a power mesh band has less stretch than an unlined stretch lace band. As a result, the power mesh band will likely fit snugger and retain its shape much better than the lace band.

You bought the wrong size

Is the underwire digging into your sides? Is your breast tissue spilling over the cups? You might be wearing the wrong size. When it comes to bra sizing, mistakes can happen. Maybe your bra fitter measured you incorrectly or sent you home with the wrong size. Or maybe you got a bra fitting while you were on your period and now you need a smaller cup size. It happens.

A lot of bra fitting has to do with personal comfort preferences. Some women prefer a snug band while others choose their bra sister size with the bigger band because a tight band feels uncomfortable to them. A bra fitter doesn’t know how you feel in your bra – she can only look at the bra and tell you if it fits or not. You have to go with what feels right to you. Remember: Your bra size is more of a guide, so ignore the size on the tag and always pick what feels the best.

It’s not the right style for you

Another indicator that the bra isn’t right for you? You find that the fabric or underwire irritates your skin after wearing it for longer than a few minutes. You didn’t notice it when you tried it on in the store, but you definitely notice it now. Or maybe you’re sitting down and you can feel the bra band digging into your skin. If that’s the case, a bandless bra could be a better option. Another solution could be exchanging the bra for a completely different style or opting for a wireless bra instead.

Wearing a bra shouldn’t cause you pain or discomfort. If you’re unhappy with your bras for any reason, it’s best to contact the store directly and see about a return or exchange. You deserve beautiful bras that fit well and feel amazing. Plus, your health and comfort are way too important. Don’t ever compromise!

Do you know the difference between banded bras and bandless bras? While these styles seem similar, they have one distinct difference. When we’re talking about a banded or bandless style, we’re referring to the fabric (or lack thereof) beneath the cups of the bra. Banded bras have a bra band that runs under the center gore and cups, includes the wings, and continues to the hook and eye closure. Bandless bras do not have any additional fabric under the cups or center front (the band includes the wings only) – and this is why they’re sometimes called ‘partial band bras.’

Looking at the bras that you wear every day, your racerback bras are a classic example of a bandless bra. Strapless bras are typically banded because they need the extra stability in their construction. You can find t-shirt bras in both banded and bandless styles.

So which style should you choose? Read on for everything you need to know about banded and bandless bras.

Factor in your breast shape and body type

The choice to wear a banded bra or bandless bra truly comes down to your breast shape, body type, and personal comfort preferences. Banded bras offer stability and support for all cup sizes. If you’re full-busted, you might prefer the extra support that a banded style provides. The full band serves as anchor for the bra and helps to keep your bust lifted and in place. In terms of body types, if your body is apple-shaped (meaning you carry most of your weight in your abdominal area), you’ll probably prefer a bandless style because it won’t squish your ribs when you sit down.

Consider the occasion

Looking for a comfortable bra to wear to work? Try a bandless bra. Bandless bras are often seen as more comfortable because they don’t have any additional fabric under the cups that could dig into the waist or stomach. Most bandless bras can be worn comfortably for hours at a time.

Tired of your straps falling off your shoulders or your bra band riding up your back. A racerback might just be the solution to your bra fitting problems. The front closure of a racerback bra makes it a bandless style.

Weigh the pros and cons

For banded styles, think support and stability. Banded styles have the added benefit of a full band. The full band adds extra support. When you’re wearing the right band size, a full band helps to keep the bra from moving throughout the day. The Charlotte Padded Bra, an example of a banded style, uses a power-mesh lined band and side boning to prevent the bra from rolling up. The minimal stretch power mesh further stabilizes the band.

If you’re shopping for a strapless bra, the majority of your options will be banded styles. Strapless bras need all of the extra boning and support they can get. A strapless bra with a thick, full band is much more likely to stay in place than a strapless style with a partial band.

Try both styles on

Banded and bandless styles have their own unique pros and cons. No matter which style you choose, you’re sure to find your perfect fit. We recommend trying on both styles at your local lingerie boutique and noting which ones work best for you. While you’re there a bra fitter can help determine your bra size and hand pick bras for you to try. Perfect!
