Burgundy is one of those gorgeous, lush colors that I always associate with autumn. It pairs well with cobalt blue, dove gray, lavender, cream, and black. While the rich shade can vary in depth, it’s in the same color family as wine, maroon, and ruby red. Burgundy is also the color of garnets and wine and is a universally flattering color that looks good on almost all skin tones. Unsurprisingly, burgundy lingerie is especially stunning and perfect for any occasion. Below, our favorites in burgundy and lace:

So you’ve made the decision to get a professional bra fitting. Great choice! If you’re someone who likes to research, read reviews, and prepare ahead for things (you’re not alone!), you may have a few questions about where to go for a bra fitting, how much a bra fitting might cost, and how much new bras cost. Well, if you’re looking for answers to those questions, you’re in the right place!

Whether you’re considering going to Nordstrom or a specialty bra boutique near you, I’ve included some answers to your frequently asked bra fitting questions below. If you don’t see your question, please feel free to comment and I’ll personally get back to you.

Without much further ado, here we go:

1.  Should I schedule an appointment?

Most stores don’t require appointments. I do recommend contacting the store ahead of time if you have limited time to shop or if it’s during the holiday season or a major sale.

2.  How much does a bra fitting cost?

Most retailers offer complimentary bra fittings. In fact, I haven’t spoken to a retailer yet who charges for a fitting, but there may be one who does.

3.  How much do new bras cost?

At most stores, you can expect to spend $40-$75 on a new bra, but prices may vary. On sale, you might be able to find bras for less than $40. Luxury and custom bras can cost anywhere from $80-$200+

4.  I’m still not sure I need a bra fitting.

Here are some good indicators that it might be time for a bra fitting (and new bras): If you’ve lost or gained weight, become pregnant or had a baby (congrats!), started nursing, or if you haven’t purchased new bras in a year or more.

5.  Where can I find a lingerie retailer in my area?

You can find a list of lingerie retailers on our website at https://resellers.parfaitlingerie.com/stockist/. If you’re unable to find a retailer near you, try typing “lingerie retailer near me” or “lingerie retailer” and your zip code into a search engine. Also, most major department stores offer bra fittings.

Have you ever had a bra fitting? We’d love to hear about your experience in the comments below!

After you’ve decided to get a professional bra fitting, you might wonder what to expect, especially if you’ve never been fit for a bra before.

First, you’ll want to set aside some time for the fitting and shopping trip. Most fittings take about 30 minutes to an hour, so I’d suggest going when you have time to spare.

Although most retailers don’t require appointments, consider scheduling one if you’re shopping for a new bra wardrobe, have limited time to spend shopping, or require a bra for a special occasion.

Once the day arrives, choose an outfit that you feel comfortable in. Keep in mind that you may have to take your shirt off in order for the bra fitter to obtain the most accurate measurements.

If you’re shopping for new every day bras, wearing a t-shirt is usually the best choice. Be sure to avoid wearing a dress or anything you’ll have to unzip or completely take off. If you do wear a dress, remember to bring a t-shirt from home so you can see what your new bra looks like with clothes over it.

If you’re shopping for a special occasion, try to bring the dress or top you’re planning on wearing so you can make sure your new bra will work underneath.

While your professional bra fitting experience may vary from this list, here are 10 things you could expect:

1.  The best professional bra fitters will treat you with respect, kindness, and attention.

Above all, they’ll make sure you’re comfortable at all times.

2.  Your bra fitter may ask a lot of questions.

Most likely, she’s trying to figure out what your needs are and the styles that could work for you.

3.  She’ll respect your time and your budget.

Let her know if she’s suggesting bras that are out of your price range. It’s also perfectly ok to buy just one bra if you only budgeted for one.

4.  She’s there if you need help with hooking a bra or tightening/untightening the straps.

Her goal is to make your bra shopping experience as fun and seamless as possible.

5.  She may stay to help you try on bras and check the fit of each one.

Let her know if you’d feel more comfortable trying on bras in private.

6.  She might have you try a bunch of bras on or only a few.

If she keeps bringing you bras to try and you’ve already found a few, it’s perfectly ok to let her know that you’re all set and don’t need to try on any more!

7.  She might introduce you to a new brand or style that you had never considered before.

Remember to be realistic when buying new bras. If you mostly wear t-shirts, look for bras with smooth cups and minimal seams. If you wear a lot of black or solid colors, consider a new bra in a fun print or color. Above all, buy what works for you. If you know you’re going to wear a t-shirt bra more than an lace bra, update your wardrobe with three new t-shirt bras and only one new lace bra!

8.  Once you find a style you love, she may introduce you to the other colors.

It’s ok to buy your new favorite bra in multiple colors!

9.  Take note of the return or exchange policy and ask questions if you’re unsure or can’t find it.

You might get home and realize the new bra you bought won’t work with your special occasion dress or is visible through your shirts.

10.  She might give you information on lingerie care and offer to sell you a mesh wash bag or lingerie detergent.

Bras can be expensive and should be considered an investment. Improper care can shorten the lifespan of lingerie. By providing helpful tips on how to proper care for your new bras, she’s helping to protect your new investment!

Gratitude is one of the secrets to happiness and living a life full of love, joy, and intent. Unsurprisingly, the health benefits of gratitude are endless. Some of the many benefits include: improved happiness and sense of self-worth, increased emotional balance and awareness, decreased stress, increased attractiveness and creativity, improved sleep, and stronger connections and relationships.

Without a doubt, gratitude truly is an adopted attitude. It promotes mindfulness and requires you to be present in the moment. It forces you to pause, assess, and act.

Typically, when we think of gratitude, saying “thank you” is the first thing that comes to mind. While it’s excellent to get in the habit of saying “thank you”, there are so many other ways to express gratitude. Above all, gratitude is an act of kindness that reminds our friends, family, co-workers, and strangers that we appreciate them for their advice, help, support, or service.

In fact, spending just two minutes a day expressing gratitude can improve and enhance your life! Whether you’re interested in finding new ways to give thanks or you’re just starting out on your gratitude journey, here are 3 easy ways to give thanks:

1.  Say It

giving-thanks

Thank the people who help you, no matter how big or small the task may seem. Your kind words have the power to remind someone how much you appreciate and value them.

I would be remiss if I didn’t also touch on compliments. Undoubtedly, the best answer to a compliment is always “thank you”. Even if you don’t feel worthy of the compliment, know that you are absolutely every bit deserving of kindness and praise!

Sometimes we may not feel ready for the love and attention that is given to us. Just remember that their words come from a genuine place and their compliment is a reflection of how they view you; it might not reflect how you view yourself.

2.  Write It

thank-you-cards

A quick ‘thank you’ email, text, or letter can go a long way. We all love to feel appreciated and needed. You don’t need a specific reason to thank someone. In fact, you can thank someone simply for being an amazing part of your life! It’s one of the easy ways to give thanks and show you care. If you prefer pen and paper, here are some of the best resources for stationary:

3.  Show It

showing gratitude volunteering

Physical displays of gratitude are some of the easiest ways to give thanks everyday. Paying it forward and doing something nice for someone else is always a great option. You could buy a friend’s (or a stranger’s!) coffee next time you visit your local coffee shop.

Alternately, If you had a great experience at a salon or restaurant, for example, you could leave a generous tip. Finding a local or national charity that speaks to you and donating your money or volunteering your time to the cause is another good choice.

In fact, giving back to your community is one of the best ways to express gratitude. Getting involved in your community can increase happiness and self-esteem and make a positive impact on the world while benefiting the lives of others. Quite simply, it feels good to give back!

Unexpected acts of thankfulness are always powerful, but almost any act of gratitude can make a positive impact.

A few years ago, I started a new job that changed my life. I was hired for a commission sales position in the lingerie department of a well-known retailer. As excited as I was at first, my excitement quickly gave way to apprehension and fear when I soon realized what I had accepted. Negative thoughts flooded my mind. You’re not qualified enough. You’ve never worked in commission sales. You don’t have enough experience. You’re setting yourself up to fail.

Time seemed to flew by as I anxiously counted down the days. I kept telling myself I could quit if I wasn’t happy and find something else that I felt more prepared and ready for. I didn’t have to stay there for more than six months. I concocted back up plans for my back up plans. Whether it was out of insecurity or out of fear, I was looking for an escape and hadn’t even started yet.

Day 1 came before I knew it. Suddenly, I was meeting new co-workers and adapting to a new work environment. As scary as the new job was, I stuck with it. 8 hours a day, 5 days a week I battled anxiety and introversion. I wanted nothing more than to fall back into the comfort of my old job. During this time, days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months. Before long, three months had passed.

One day, three months in, I had an epiphany.

I realized I needed to give into my fear. Up until that point, I felt uneasy and uncomfortable in my new role. I felt like I wasn’t supposed to be there, like I was under qualified for the position and the duties and expectations that came with it. I was afraid I was an imposter. I was unsure, uncomfortable, and anxious — but I was growing. Each day, I soaked up as much product knowledge as I could. I took chances and challenged my fears. I learned how to fit bras and figure out sizing. I even started to enjoy many parts of it!

As I grew into my new role, I started to change. I walked into work every day, afraid, and walked out every night relieved and happy that I had made it through another day. The challenge terrified me, but the success was real and accepting that I was afraid was working. I was making things happen and feeling more and more like I belonged. My goals finally felt tangible. As a result of my newfound confidence and determination, I started to kick butt in sales. If you told me on the 1st day that I would become a top seller at the company, I never would have believed you.

Best of all, the confidence that I felt from conquering my fears manifested in other areas. I overcame my fear of talking to people and communication in almost every area- friendships, relationships, networking- started to feel more effortless and natural. My quality of life improved dramatically. Looking back, I owe a great deal of my personal and professional success to that opportunity.

Why am I sharing this story with you today?

We all have things we’re afraid of.

It could be a fear of starting a new job, meeting new people, dating, or moving to a new city, among many others.

One thing I’ve learned is that no matter how scared you are, you can’t let fear hold you back from moving forward.

It’s ok if you don’t have any idea how to overcome your fear of reaching a goal, making a dream a reality, making a tough decision, or embracing your imperfections. Sometimes you have to do things scared, uncertain, or afraid. You may have to embrace discomfort and change in order to move forward and accomplish what matters most to you.

There are many benefits to overcoming fears. Here are my 3 favorite reasons why you should challenge yourself to do things that scare you:

1.  You get to experience new opportunities.

do something today quote

By embracing the unknown, you open yourself up to new opportunities. If dating scares you, just remember that you could meet the love of your life if you take that risk!

2.  You become in control of your fear.

don't be afraid to fail

The only way to conquer your fears is by facing them. More often than not, the things that scare you turn out to not be scary at all!

3.  You’re rewarded with personal growth.

Personal growth is a good thing! You may start to feel more confident, comfortable, and powerful after you overcome your fears.

My path to self-love wasn’t ever straightforward or easy. I struggled with self love for years before realizing my worth and that I was worthy of love. Yet, the type of love I was worthy of wasn’t quite clear to me. In time, I developed a better understanding as I learned that love comes in many forms.

There are also a few types that we commonly think of when we talk about love. There’s unconditional love, where you accept a person completely and choose to love them despite their imperfections. There’s lust, the sometimes precursor to love, with its chocolate-covered idealism wrapped up in a red velvet bow. There’s also unrequited love, which can induce a devastatingly painful feeling in the depths of the heart. In time, I became very familiar with all three and discovered a fourth.

From the highs of lust to the lows of unrequited love to the soft and steady murmur of unconditional love, I’ve learned one very important lesson:

Everyone is worthy of healthy and happy relationships.

Most importantly, I understand now that I am worthy of healthy and happy relationships. And so are you.

The fourth type of love and the one that will make up your longest relationship, is the love you have for yourself. In order for any of the other types of love to work, you must first love yourself. Sometimes this is the hardest relationship to be in.

We are all imperfect, but it is our imperfections that make us unique.

Everything about you is uniquely and beautifully you and you are worthy of love.

Self-love isn’t a promise of future love. It’s not about deciding you’ll love yourself after you’ve lost 15 pounds, received a promotion at work, or discovered a youth serum.

Self-love is hard because we fight it.

We may make excuses about why we can’t love ourselves. We see self-love as a destination. Self-love is a journey and it exists in the present. It only works when you consciously choose to love yourself, as you are, each day.

Self-love also has a direct connection to self-worth.

How you treat yourself determines how you will allow others to treat you.

Your sense of self-worth is at the very core of this. Accepting and loving yourself is sometimes easier said than done, but you can absolutely do it every single day.

No matter how you’re feeling at the moment, whether you love yourself completely or you’re not quite there yet, here are some great daily practices for self-love:

1.  Surround yourself with positive people.

Jessica Eisner quote 1 - 6 Daily Practices for Self Love

via Quotesgram

Negative people can bring down your mood and negatively influence your opinion of yourself. Consciously make an effort to spend time with positive people who support you and want you to be successful.

If you have a family member or friend that doesn’t treat you well, remember that you can determine the terms of your personal relationships. In most cases, you get to choose the amount of time and energy you want to put into negative relationships, if any at all.

If you have a negative co-worker, consider having a conversation with them. Maybe they’re going through something personal, but taking out their frustrations on you. If you do have a conversation and can’t reach civility, try to find at least one good thing about that person and focus on that quality. Keeping that redeeming quality in mind will make working with them a little easier.

2.  Be kind to yourself and to others.

View your life with hindsight quote - 6 Daily Practices for Self Love

via Fashionthrill

Sometimes we may feel we don’t have time to take care of ourselves. We might shorten a morning routine so we have an extra 10 minutes of sleep or neglect going to the gym because time with our children and families fills up our day. No matter what, we have 24 hours each day to spend however we choose.

It’s so important to make it a priority to take time and be kind to yourself each day.

It’s also important to be kind to others. You may not know what they’re going through. A little kindness can go a long way and completely turn someone’s day around.

3.  Always say “thank you”.

Oprah quote - 6 Daily Practices for Self Love

via FB/SarahMcCrum1 / alkimea

Even if you don’t feel that you are worthy of the compliment, know that you are every bit deserving. Their compliment reflects their view of you, so it’s ok if you don’t share that view.

If you’re unsure how to accept the compliment, practice saying “thank you”. In time, just by saying “thank you”, you’ll stop doubting the kind words and start accepting their truth!

And if you’re already comfortable with accepting compliments, bravo! I challenge you to make it a daily practice to compliment others!

4.  Treat yourself.

Treat yourself parks and recreation quote - 6 Daily Practices for Self Love

via Sassypear

Make it a priority to do things that make you feel special and valued. It could be something as small as making an indulgent cup of coffee or as grand as taking a vacation. Just make sure to treat yourself as often as you can. You deserve it!

5.  Examine your values.

Skai Jackson quote - 6 Daily Practices for Self Love

Do you feel like you’re not successful enough, not pretty enough, or just not good enough? STOP. You are successful, beautiful, and amazing just as you are. Even if I am the only person telling you this today, I hope you believe it because it’s true!

If you’re comparing yourself to others, you’re limiting yourself. So try to stop comparing yourself to others. There’s enough room for everyone to be the best version of themselves.

What’s stopping you from being your best self, right now?

6.  Practice gratitude and happiness daily.

We all have moments of frustration, sadness, and irritability. It’s ok if you have to “practice” happiness and gratitude! It’s also important to regularly take time to thank the people in your life who you’re thankful for! Who are you going to thank today?

Moving is never easy, but it can change your life. Maybe you’re moving to a new city because you just purchased your first home (congrats!) or accepted a new job offer or promotion (well done!) or you’re ready to take the new step in your relationship or you need a fresh start. All are important causes for celebration and frequently necessitate moving. In most cases, the positive benefits of a change in pace far outweigh any initial feelings of negativity. Moving opens us up to new experiences, new opportunities, and new relationships. It turns our routines upside down and challenges us to be creative, patient, adaptive, and accepting. Most importantly, the newness helps us grow. When we change our surroundings, we abandon the familiar, stagnant, and boring. We develop new habits, new friendships, and new memories that can change our perspectives and enhance our lives.

That being said, it can take weeks or even months to feel completely comfortable in a new environment. Although it may feel out of your control at first, remember that you have control over your attitude and your attitude will largely determine how you will feel as the time passes. An attitude of positivity and patience will allow for a much smoother transition than one filled with worry and doubt. It’s ok to be afraid! Just remember to use the fear as fuel to power your confidence and propel yourself forward.

Here are 6 ways to embrace moving to a new city (and have fun while doing it!):

1.  Go online to find local events

Wine tasting wine glasses 1024x684 - 6 Ways to Embrace Moving to a New City

Plan ahead by searching for events online in your new city before going out. You can read reviews, map out the locations, and check if there are any special events or promotions. Additionally, many social event websites frequently offer special deals for wine tastings, fitness classes, city tours, etc. These websites also commonly offer packages for fitness classes, so you can try a few classes at a new studio or gym before committing to becoming a member. Without a doubt, there are plenty of things to do by yourself, with a date, with friends, or with family in a new city if you know where to look!

Best places to find local events:

2.  Get out and explore

Explore the farmers market 1024x683 - 6 Ways to Embrace Moving to a New City

Now is the perfect time to go for a walk. The changing leaves and crisp autumn air often invoke a sense of nostalgia, while the light exercise offers numerous health and fitness benefits. Walking is a great way to casually explore your new home. Map out grocery stores, markets, pharmacies, and hospitals. If you prefer to travel by car, driving around your new neighborhood and exploring the areas near it can help you become more comfortable with your new surroundings. While driving around, make sure to take note of the local restaurants, shops, museums, and businesses. Some of them will become your new favorites!

Where to eat, shop, and visit:

3.  Get to know your new neighbors

New York neighborhood 1024x681 - 6 Ways to Embrace Moving to a New City

Gone are the days of apple pie introductions. No matter where you live, it’s always a good idea to get to know your neighbors. You don’t have to knock on their door and introduce yourself. In fact, casual introductions are often better received. Next time you see an unfamiliar face while you’re coming home or getting your mail, introduce yourself. And don’t forget a friendly wave or “hello” if you’ve been introduced!

Comparatively, if you’re on the opposite end, ie. introducing yourself to a new neighbor in town, a pretty “Welcome to the Neighborhood!” card with a list of your favorite places in town and a bottle of champagne can mean the world to someone who may be trying to adjust after moving to a new city.

4.  Get involved/volunteer

Volunteer plant trees 1024x678 - 6 Ways to Embrace Moving to a New City

Volunteering is a great way to meet new people and make a difference after moving to a new city. Choose local organizations that you connect with and reach out to get started. As a volunteer, the amount of time you spend volunteering is up to you. For example, you could help provide meals to families, deliver food to the homeless, mentor, tutor, spend time with the elderly, planting trees, etc. When you volunteer, everything you do, no matter how small it may seem, makes a difference in the life of someone else.

Lend a hand:

5.  Embrace discomfort and unfamiliarity

House love home art 1024x576 - 6 Ways to Embrace Moving to a New City

Be confident in yourself and your new surroundings. It might feel uncomfortable at first while you’re figuring out where everything is and establishing a new routine. Try your best to be patient and give yourself time to accumulate. Although it can vary, it may take a few weeks or months before you are comfortable in your new space. Staying positive and embracing the discomfort and unfamiliarity of new surroundings can make for a smoother transition.

6.  Stay connected with friends and family

Stay connected with friends and family 1024x683 - 6 Ways to Embrace Moving to a New City

Even if you’re making a big life change and moving to a new city by yourself, you’re never alone. Remember to call on your most supportive group of family and friends if you’re feeling lonely or need to vent. Find ways to keep in touch through Facebook, email, text messaging, etc. Reach out to old friends, co-workers, and classmates who live in your new city. If you moved to a new place with your family, check in regularly with your spouse and children. Moving is never easy, but open, honest communication and kindness can go a long way in making the transition a lot easier for everyone.

The right bra can change the way your clothes fit, your posture, and even your attitude. It might sound silly, but wearing a bra that fits well is life-changing. Increased confidence, happiness, and comfort are common effects of wearing a bra in the correct size.

Unsurprisingly, the health benefits are numerous and include decreased stress, decreased breast tissue discomfort, and decreased back pain. This is why I firmly believe that all women, regardless of bra size, should make a bra fitting a priority.

What is a bra fitting?

By my own definition, a bra fitting occurs when an expert, otherwise known as a professional bra fitter, determines your bra size, solves your bra issues, and offers new bras based on the size, shape, depth, and placement of your breast tissue. Any woman can get a professional bra fitting and there are many retailers that offer complimentary bra fitting services.
You should consider a professional bra fitting if you’ve recently lost or gained weight, become pregnant, gave birth, or started nursing.
It’s a good idea to visit an expert if you feel any discomfort or pain while wearing your bras, if your bra size has changed, or if none of your bras currently fit.
It’s also important to see a professional bra fitter if you’re experiencing any of the following with your current bras: breast tissue spilling out of the cups, cups gaping, wires popping out, breast tissue and underarm soreness while wearing the bra, straps falling off your shoulders, the bra riding up in the back, band feeling too tight or too loose, etc.
Bra fittings are especially important after a mastectomy, reconstructive breast surgery, breast augmentation surgery, or breast reduction surgery.
Even if you aren’t currently experiencing any issues with your bras, it’s still a good idea to get a professional bra fitting every 6 months to one year. The average life span of a bra is 3-6 months, so realistically, you’ll likely need new every day bras around that time anyway!

From my own experience as a professional bra fitter, bra fitting is an extremely rewarding job and one that is treated with respect, care, and confidentiality. In fact, there are many wonderful lingerie boutiques with expert owners and employees that share the same passion and appreciation for lingerie and bra fitting. Most of their employees complete extensive training and certification programs before they can fit clients.

I encourage you to explore and support your local lingerie boutiques and retailers. They provide a unique and necessary experience that can’t be duplicated online or anywhere else. No online bra sizing calculator or how to measure guide will give you the same experience provided at a specialty boutique.

Here are the top 3 reasons why you should visit a professional bra fitter:

1.  Product knowledge

The best professional bra fitters are bra doctors and experts in their field. They can diagnose any current bra problems and introduce you to bras that will work for you. They can also save you time in the fitting room and their professionalism helps to make the fitting experience more comfortable.

2.  Experience

Bra fitting isn’t an exact science, so experience is invaluable. Many retailers offer extensive training programs for new fitters and take the bra fitting process very seriously. The best bra fitters are able to offer solutions to your everyday bra problems. For example, they can help with fixing straps that fall off the shoulders, bands that ride up in the back, and breast tissue spillage or gaping cups.

3.  Peace of mind

Professional fitters offer peace of mind when it comes to fit. They take the stress and uncertainty out of bra fitting. Bra fitters know their products inside and out. They also know that sizes can vary from brand to brand and style to style. Ultimately, their expertise can save you a lot of time and money. You won’t have to deal with the hassle of returning a bra you ordered online that doesn’t fit.

Most importantly, professional bra fitters are there to help you. They want you to be happy with your bra and comfortable with the fit and feel. They don’t want you to suffer from back pain and discomfort or struggle with a bra that isn’t right for you.

Many of the women who fit bras professionally have experienced the same bra issues that you might be currently experiencing. Their experience allows them to be sympathetic and understanding of your concerns. They’re also excellent problem solvers!

Every so often I discover an activity that is life-changing. After seeing my written dreams manifest, I truly believe in the power of creating a dream list.

In the words of Gloria Steinem, “Without leaps of imagination, or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning.”

All too often we become accustomed to the routines and practices of daily life. Sometimes, the routines start to feel mundane and boring. It becomes harder to find time to do things that make us happy. We may find ourselves lost in relationships, careers, and taking care of friends and family. We may anticipate the daily flow of emails, text messages, and phone calls from colleagues and loved ones. It can become easy to get carried away by the steady and busy pace of the days that pass. As a result, we may begin to lose sight, momentarily, of our goals and dreams. We might forget to plan ahead and schedule things to look forward to. Similarly, we might even forget to look back on our progress and see how far we’ve come.

This is why it’s so important for us to remind ourselves to think big and set big goals for ourselves.

Anyone can create a dream list and it only takes a few minutes to start. A dream list is essentially a list of goals that can include places you want to see, people you want to meet, things you want to do, etc. It’s a blank canvas for you to paint the grandest vision of your life and manifest your dreams on paper. Specifically, it’s an important reminder that you have the power to make your dreams possible.

Dream lists provide the perfect channel for us to think big and write out the things that we want to do, see, feel, and accomplish. Additionally, they can provide a positive outlet, give us something to look forward to, help us prioritize our passions and interests, or realize that we’re ready for a big life change.

London England Big Ben 1024x682 - The Power of Creating a Dream List

Have you dreamed of traveling to England (I know I have!) or wondered what it would be like to be your own boss? Do you want to get in shape, start your own business, fall in love, write a book, or take a much needed vacation? All of these goals are possible and they start with dreaming.

Where do you see yourself in five years? In five months? Creating a dream list today can help you realize what you want in life. It’s one step closer to making your dreams happen!

Ready to get started or add to your existing list? These are my favorite dream list examples (perfect for referencing when you’re creating your own dream list):

Ariel of Dreams To Do: My Dream List

I love Ariel’s “Dreams I’ve Done” list! It’s important to take time to reflect on all of your accomplishments. Be proud of where you started and the progress you’ve made!

Jack Canfield: My 101 Lifetime Goals List And Why You Should Have One Too

Separating your goals by category (Travel, Adventure, Personal Achievements) is great tip, especially when it comes to creating a dream list. Jack’s list demonstrates a highly-organized and efficient approach.

Laura Vanderkam: My List Of 100 Dreams

Laura’s list is also categorized. I love how she listed her dreams in detail! It’s important to be able to visualize the dreams that you’re writing down on your list.

The most important takeaway: The dream list won’t work if you don’t.

Be sure to be realistic when creating a dream list. Remember, all of your dreams are goals waiting to be accomplished. Take time to write down the steps that you may need to take in order to make them happen. Consider giving yourself a deadline for each step. Is a vacation one of your dreams? Plan out the steps you need to take to get there!
