Having a well-stocked lingerie drawer will boost any woman’s confidence. Knowing you have various bras on hand gives you peace of mind that you’ll be prepared for any occasion. So, how many bras do you need? And, which bra styles do you need to create a well-stocked lingerie drawer?

Let’s discuss specific bra styles that you need and why these styles are essential.

Two to four every day bras

First things first, you’ll need two to four every day bras in your lingerie drawer. These are the bras that you’ll want to wear to work, under a sweater or during a night out. There’s no wrong or right bra style to be considered an every day bra. It’s simply based on personal preference. My every day styles consist of a push up, a padded bra and a padded plunge neck bra. All three styles are comfortable, but I mainly wear the push up when I want a little extra cleavage. But, I could wear it under a sweater and feel comfortable.

You want two to four every day bras because you should wash bras after two to five wears. How often you wash the bra will depend on factors like how long you wore it, etc. Having more than one go-to bras in your rotation ensures you can properly launder the bras.

One or two sports bras

Whether your workouts consist of a brisk walk or a strenuous fitness class, you’ll need a sports bra. Of course, how often you exercise and the type of exercise you do will determine which sports bra is best for you. Your exercise regimen also determines how many sports bras you need. One or two sports bras suffice for most people. However, if you perform long workouts almost every day of the week, you’ll want a couple more. (Because you’re probably sweating quite a bit.)

As you exercise, dead skin, sweat and body oils rub off on to your sports bra. Wearing the sports bra too many times between washes can irritate your skin. If your workouts are very low-impact, you should still wear a sports bra instead of a regular bra. Sports bras keep your breasts in place – supporting your breasts and alleviating soreness after exercise.

A strapless bra

Your lingerie drawer is not complete without a strapless bra. A strapless bra is suitable for many wardrobe styles – from off-the-shoulder tops and strapless dresses, to sleeveless blouses and razorback tanks. I’d recommend having one strapless bra that truly fits and makes you feel confident. But, if you live in a place that is warm year-round, you may want one or two more.

A convertible bra

A convertible bra is essential because the straps can be worn multiple ways. The Jeanie Strapless Contour bra by Parfait, for example, can be worn five ways – strapless, criss-cross, halter, one-shoulder and regularly. This type of bra adds versatility to your wardrobe. And, since it can be worn so many ways, it can usually serve as one of your every day bras. Now, that’s getting your bang for your buck!

A bralette

A bralette is another lingerie drawer staple. Bralettes are typically worn for style and comfort, and they come in a variety of styles and designs. Bralettes are also great for when you need coverage, but don’t want a lot of support – like when lounging around on the weekend. Having at least one bralette in your lingerie drawer gives you an extra accessory to style and an easy bra option.

These are the bra styles that are most conducive for your every day wardrobe. But, in addition to these styles, you can have special occasion bras that make you feel sexy. You may not wear those bras often, but they can make an occasion feel more special than if you wore your every day bras.

Demi cup bras and push-up bras are two very sexy bra styles. Both come in a variety of fabrics and styles, and each style makes your breasts look fuller. However, demi cup and push-up bras are very different styles and shouldn’t be confused with each other. So, what’s the difference you ask? Let’s first talk about what makes each bra style unique.

What is a demi bra?

what is a demi cup bra

Parfait Charlotte Padded Bra 6901 | Parfait Charlotte Bikini 6905 in Bronze

A demi cup bra has cups cover about half or three-quarters of your bust. Because the cups are shorter in height, your breasts appear to be pushed upward. This makes your breasts naturally look fuller and rounder. Some demi cup bras also have padding to push your breasts up even higher.

A demi cup bra may also be called a half bra, shelf bra, balcony bra or balconette bra. A balconette bra is more of a retro style bra. When you think “pin-up” style, you probably picture a balconette bra. Most demi cup bras have either unlined cups or foam-lined cups. This makes the demi cup bra comfortable enough for every day wear. But, just because it can be worn every day doesn’t mean this style can’t be sexy. Demi cup bras come in a variety of designs and styles, making it a beautifully sexy piece of lingerie.

What is a push-up bra?

what is a demi bra vs push up

Parfait Matilda Push-Up Bra P53116 | Parfait Matilda Hipster P5315 in Nude

A push up bra contains extra padding in the sides and bottoms of the cups to push your breasts in and up. This inward and upward motion is what creates the cleavage. Push-up bras can make your bust appear to be at least 1-2 cup sizes larger than it really is. So, push-up bras are an excellent option to wear under low-cut garments or when you want to visually increase the size of your bust.

Because push-up bras push and squeeze your breasts, they’re typically not a go-to option for everyday wear. But, of course, this all depends on the woman’s personal preference. Like demi cup bras, push-up bras come in a variety of designs. You could opt for a lacy, embellished push-up, or a smooth push-up that could be worn under tight-fitting clothes.

The difference between the two bra styles

The difference between a demi cup bra and a push-up bra really comes down to their fits. It’s the fit of each that differentiates how the style accentuates your bust. Both styles make your breasts look fuller, yet a demi bra won’t provide as much cleavage. If you want to boost your cleavage, a push-up bra is the best choice. If you want rounder, perkier looking breasts, a demi bra is the answer.

The great thing about both bra styles is that they can make even very small breasts appear bigger. However, the appearance is always natural. Whether you choose a demi cup bra or a push-up bra, each can enhance your bustline and maximize cleavage.

Which bra style is your favorite?

Do you love the idea of wearing beautiful lingerie, yet get insecure once you put it on? If that’s you, I’ve been there, too. Wearing next to nothing can be overwhelming, especially when you feel like your imperfections are shining. But, I’ve realized that it’s not lingerie that makes a woman look sexy. It’s the confidence she exudes while it.

To rock your lingerie with confidence, you must truly feel confident in it.

Here are five tips to help you feel super confident in your lingerie.

1.  Find the right fit.

Finding the right fit is key to feeling confident in your lingerie. One size up or down can make a big difference in how a garment fits. Lingerie that’s too small can be uncomfortable. It can dig into your skin or squeeze you, creating unfortunate skin bulges. But, lingerie that’s too big won’t hug your body tightly enough. The garment may sag or not provide proper support for your breasts, which certainly won’t boost your confidence.

Regardless of your body type or breast size, there’s a perfect lingerie fit for you. I suggest finding your local lingerie store and stopping by for a fitting. The lingerie professional will take measurements to find your lingerie size.

2.  Choose pieces true to your style.

Choose lingerie that you’re comfortable in and suits your style. From sultry to modest, there’s lingerie for every woman’s taste. Opting for a garment within your comfort zone helps decrease any insecurity once you put it on.

Of course, part of the excitement of wearing lingerie is playing with various lingerie styles. If you think you’d feel more confident in a style you’ve never tried, try it! But, don’t worry if you’re not ready to branch out into chancier garments. Get your confidence way up in your sexy underthings by wearing garments that make you feel comfortable. That confidence will then make you excited to test out new lingerie styles.

3.  Find pieces you think are beautiful.

It’s essential to find garments that you think are beautiful when shopping for lingerie. You must wear lingerie for you first, and for your significant other second. Your S.O. is happy seeing you in anything – especially lingerie – so they aren’t caught up in the style. Only opt for lingerie you adore, and you’ll love putting it on every time.

4.  Embrace your body.

We all have body imperfections we wish we didn’t. And, there’s always some body part you wish you could alter. But, not accepting yourself will leave you feeling inadequate. Put your imperfections aside, and consider all that your body does for you. It’s strong, resilient and beautiful. You are strong, resilient and beautiful. Work what your mama gave you – embrace your body and the skin you’re in.

5.  Remember you are your worst critic.

If insecurity starts creeping into your mind, remember you’re your hardest critic. You probably look in the mirror, and start tallying what you don’t like. Before you know it, you’ve made a mental list of all the reasons you don’t look good in your lingerie. That’s no way to boost a girl’s confidence!

Your mind exaggerates the things you don’t like. And, you’re much more critical of yourself than anyone else is of you. I promise your S.O. is not focusing on your imperfections when you’re in lingerie. Instead, they’re focused on how beautiful and sexy you are. They focused on how the lingerie accents your body. Push any negative thoughts out of your mind so you have nothing but confidence in your lingerie.

Wearing lingerie is sensual and fun. But, part of the fun comes from feeling fierce and confident in your lingerie. Allow yourself to feel sexy in your lingerie without critiquing yourself. Before you know it, you’ll be putting on lingerie any chance you get!

Buying new lingerie for yourself is not on the top of every woman’s list. That’s because other things take precedence, so nice lingerie isn’t a priority. But, every woman can agree that wearing new lingerie is exciting, and it makes you feel pretty. So, why not empower the women in your life with a lingerie gift this holiday season?

Here are seven lingerie gifts all the women in your life would appreciate:

1.  A pair of fancy panties

Panties are a great lingerie gift to give another woman. They are necessities that add sexiness to your everyday style. And, think about the benefits of getting new panties. It gives you a reason to organize your lingerie drawer, tossing old panties. It boosts your confidence knowing your panties are beautiful and new. From thongs to briefs, keep her personal style in mind when buying lingerie for your best girlfriend.

2.  A soft nightie

Wearing a soft nightie to bed feels much more luxurious than a t-shirt. So, a nightie is another garment any woman would appreciate it. It’s also an easy lingerie gift to buy because the sizes aren’t tricky. Whether she’d like a revealing, lace nightie or a cozy, silk one, there’s an option for all preferences.

3.  A silky robe

Robes are multi-purposeful for women. You can wear one when you’re too lazy for clothes; while you’re getting ready; if you’re cold or as a sexy accessory to your lingerie. Because robes have so many uses, it’s a perfect gift choice. I’d recommend a silk robe if you want to get one that she’ll use a lot. A silk robe can be worn year-round, while also being light enough to wear with lingerie.

4.  A lacy teddy

A teddy is a bodysuit-type garment that typically doesn’t have cups or many seams. This makes it easy to gift because the sizes are simple – small, medium, large, etc. Personally, teddies are one of my favorite pieces of lingerie. If a female friend gifted me a teddy, I’d be one happy gal.

5.  A beautiful lingerie set

Many women go bra shopping when they need a new bra. And, they go panty shopping when it’s time for new panties. In fact, many women may not even have a matching bra and panty set. So, here’s your chance to boost her confidence. Give her a matching lingerie set, and she’ll feel like a queen wearing it.

6.  A lingerie laundry or travel accessory

Can’t decide on a garment, but want to stick with a lingerie-themed gift? Give her a lingerie laundry bag or a travel container. A lingerie laundry bag will protect her intimates in the wash. It’s typically made of mesh, allowing water to easily pass through. But, it keeps the lingerie contained so the washing machine and its contents aren’t too harsh on the item.

A lingerie travel container will keep her lingerie safe when she travels. The container can fit multiple bras when the cups are stacked together, which helps the cups keep their shape. Giving her a lingerie laundry or travel accessory will preserve her lingerie longer.

7.  A gift card to her favorite lingerie store

Of course, a gift card to a lingerie store is a fail-proof gift. She can pick her own garments, so you have peace of mind she’ll love what she gets. Plus, giving her a gift card gives her a great opportunity for quality “me time.”

An item that someone wouldn’t normally buy themselves is always a good holiday gift idea. And for many women, lingerie falls right into this category. But, be sure to include a gift receipt with your present, so she can exchange anything that doesn’t fit.

Holiday dates with your significant other are romantic. The weather is colder, so you’re more likely to snuggle up together. And, the season itself puts some extra magic in the air.  My husband and I have two festive dates each holiday season. One of the dates involves going to a holiday-themed play, musical or attraction. And, the other one is a simple, but festive date night in.

I love date nights at home because they can be more flirtatious than the average date. But, I especially love our holiday date night in. And again, it comes down to the fact that it feels more magical.

Here’s everything you’ll need for a festive date night in:

Music

The first step in creating the perfect, festive date night in is to set the tone. Start with your music selection to set the tone for the evening. From holiday jams to R&B, there’s no right or wrong music choice. I like having a few different playlists on hand as the evening moves along.

Lighting

Romantic lighting is the next thing you’ll need when setting the tone for your date night in. Turning all the overhead lights on in your home can provide bright, harsh lighting. I suggest using various lamps or lights that can be dimmed. Although you may spend much of your date in the kitchen or living area, it’s nice to keep other rooms dimly lit, too. This makes the entire home feel a little more inviting and inclusive to your date.

I also love incorporating lots of candles into my date night in. The candlelight is soft and flattering, and the candle’s scent offers for a warm aroma. (Bonus points if you have a holiday- or winter-scented candle.) I put at least one candle in all rooms, adding a few extra to larger rooms.

Refreshments

No party – including a party for two – is complete without snacks and refreshments. I recommend having light finger foods for your date night in. Finger foods allow you to eat at your leisure throughout the night. And, lighter choices ensure you don’t get bloated or overly stuffed. I made meatballs, a cheese tray, prosciutto-wrapped asparagus and shrimp cocktail for last year’s holiday date night. You’ll also want to have plenty of drinks on hand – whether that’s iced tea or holiday cocktails.

best lingerie gifts

Lingerie

I mentioned that as date night at home can be more flirtatious than other dates. That’s because you get to tease your S.O. with your lingerie for the entire date!

Red, black or burgundy are always great lingerie color choices for the holidays. And from lingerie sets and babydolls, to silky pajama sets and lacy bustiers, all lingerie styles go.

Activities

Consider what you’d like you and your significant other to do during your date. If you want to stick to the holiday theme, you could watch a holiday movie, make a gingerbread house or do a festive puzzle. If you don’t care if the activity is holiday-themed, perhaps you play cards or a romantic game for two.

It’s not a bad idea to plan for more than one activity. This ensures there are options for whatever mood you’re both in. I suggest placing any activity items where both of you will see them, like by the fireplace or on the coffee table. This way, either of you can suggest an idea.

Primping

A date night in doesn’t mean you can’t pamper yourself and primp beforehand. Take time to do the things that will make you feel beautiful. I like fixing my hair as usual, but I tend to do my makeup differently for date nights in. I’ll go light on the makeup, only applying mascara, lip color and bronzer and filling in my eyebrows.

And, don’t forget to moisturize! Smooth skin will make you feel confident regardless of how much skin you’re showing.

A date night in is a perfect way to celebrate the season with your loved one. Any holiday lights or décor you have around the house help to carry out the holiday theme. So, why not grab your holiday lingerie and throw a festive party for two?

Self-confidence should not be underrated. Your self-confidence is what gives you the power to walk into any room with your head held high. It’s what gives you the courage to stand up for yourself and those around you. So, it’s important to do whatever it takes to make yourself feel confident. However, we often do things that decrease our own self-confidence without realizing it.

There are plenty of things that can shake your confidence. You could not get the promotion you’ve had your eye on or you could experience a rough patch in your relationship. Because outside factors can affect your confidence, you must put forth effort to build yourself up. And if your confidence could use a boost, you must stop doing these five things:

1.  Comparing yourself to others.

Stacking yourself up against someone else to see how you compare is a recipe for self-pity. Other people will always have things you don’t – better hair, a bigger paycheck or a cooler job. But, when you compare yourself or your life to another, you’re not playing fair. You’re forgetting all of the things you have that someone else may not. You’re forgetting that everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses.

Spend less time comparing you to those around you and more time focusing on all the good things you have to offer. That is what self-love is. And, loving yourself is the first step to feeling more confident in your skin.

2.  Believing negative thoughts.

Negativity is detrimental to your confidence. Those negative thoughts live in your mind, and overtime, you start to believe them. They are no longer just thoughts, but a realistic picture of how you see yourself. This negativity and self-doubt holds you back and drains your confidence.

Think about it – if you don’t believe in yourself, why would anyone else? You must be your own advocate, and to do so, you must think positively about yourself. Turn any negativity into motivation. If there’s something you don’t like about yourself, commit to fixing it. Otherwise, accept yourself, and focus on all the positive traits you have. It’s much easier to source confidence from positivity than it is from negativity.

3.  Eating poorly.

To put it simply, an unhealthy, imbalanced diet will make you feel badly. Too many sugars or carbs can make you feel bloated and tired. And let’s face it – bloat makes you feel unattractive and lackluster. These are two things that will not boost your confidence at all.

Be mindful of the foods you’re putting into your body, and consume everything in moderation. After doing this for just a couple of days, your energy will increase and any bloating will decrease. Feeling energetic and comfortable in your body and clothes will help you feel more confident.

4.  Pushing the snooze button.

Pushing the snooze button may provide extra sleep. But, it also decreases the time you have to get yourself ready for the day. I feel more confident when I take a few extra minutes to primp in the morning. And, it’s the little things that make me feel confident – like moisturizing my skin or fixing my hair. On the flip side, pushing snooze doesn’t really do much for me. I’m not getting good sleep. Instead, I’m just pushing off the inevitable.

Don’t be so quick to push the snooze button. Consider what you could do in those 15 minutes that would make you feel better about taking on the day. Whether it’s curling your hair or quietly sipping a cup of coffee, get up and do it. The few extra minutes that you put into yourself in the morning will boost your confidence.

5.  Caring what others think.

There’s a fine line between caring how others perceive you and caring what others think of you. For example, I care a lot about other people’s feelings, so I never want to be perceived as inconsiderate or rude. But, that’s very different than caring what someone thinks of me.

You subconsciously stop yourself from being yourself when you’re afraid of what others think. Be you, and don’t worry what other people may think. Giving yourself the freedom to be yourself will instantly give you a new kind of confidence.

Self-confidence isn’t something you inherit. And, unfortunately, it’s not something you can just turn on when you need it. Self-confidence comes from choosing to love and trust in yourself every day. When you make self-love a habit, your self-confidence will strengthen each day.

Your excitement or happiness can plummet from someone else’s negative comments or interjections. And, let’s face it – it never feels good to have someone rain on your parade. It knocks you down. It makes what seemed shiny suddenly seem lackluster.

But what if you were also chipping away at your own happiness? You have more power than anyone else to contribute to or steal your own happiness.

Here are five ways you could be stealing your own happiness:

Comparing yourself to others

A little comparison can be good to keep you self-aware. However, comparing yourself too harshly to others will slowly chip away at your happiness. Many times, people put out an image that is not necessarily true or realistic. So, you could be comparing yourself to something that isn’t real. Don’t compare your yourself, your relationships or your life to someone else’s. You’re comparing apples to oranges. Focus on your life and all the good you have in it.

Thinking negatively about yourself

Having negative thoughts about yourself lowers your self-confidence. And, if you aren’t truly confident in yourself, you can’t be truly happy. When you start to think you aren’t good enough, slap that thought out of your mind. You are amazing, talented, beautiful and special in your unique way. Have positive thoughts about yourself – and believe them – and you’ll be happier.

Dwelling on the negatives

Just as thinking negatively about yourself will bring you down, dwelling on the negatives will too. Only thinking about the negative side of a situation will never help the situation. And, having a negative outlook in general makes it so hard to ever see the positives. If you can’t see the positives in life, you’re taking away your own happiness. Think positive thoughts only.

Eating unhealthily

What you eat affects the way you feel. Making one unhealthy food choice after another can leave you feeling bloated and lethargic. If you regularly eat unhealthily, those feelings can become the norm. Trust me, bloat and lethargy won’t make you feel good about yourself. When you choose healthier options, you’ll feel lighter and have more energy. And when you feel good, you’re happier.

Obsessing over other people’s actions

You can’t control someone else’s actions regardless of how much you obsess over them. You can, however, control your own actions. Don’t waste your time and energy worrying about someone else’s poor behavior – it will only eat away at your happiness. Focus on yourself, and when someone acts out, show them love. After all, with all the happiness you have in your heart, it will be hard to show them anything but love.

We are all on the pursuit for happiness – true happiness. And, we must do what we can to preserve it. Making an effort to build yourself up, as well as others, will help you be a happy version of you. Because when you’re truly happy, there’s not much that can it away.

Women don’t wear bras for the heck of it. You wear them to feel confident and comfortable in your clothes. Wearing a beautiful bra that makes you feel beautiful is like having a secret tool in your confidence treasure chest. And, bras can enhance parts of your body too. Sure, they enhance your breasts by lifting them or giving them a rounder shape. But, bras can also enhance your figure. Needless to say, if your bra doesn’t make you feel better about yourself when you put it on, there’s a problem.

If you don’t like the way you feel in your bra, you’ve come to the right place.

Let’s diagnose the issue with your bra by asking the following five questions:

Is the bra not your style?

This is the first and easiest question to ask yourself when you don’t like your bra. It’s possible that a bra you loved a year ago no longer fits your personal style. Perhaps the bra is a style that you don’t feel comfortable in anymore. Or maybe the bra feels too plain or too decorative.

Well-maintained bras last longer. But, just because a bra is in good condition doesn’t mean you must keep wearing it. (You can always donate lightly worn bras so they go to good use.) If it’s a different style bra you’d like, first figure out what you don’t like about your current bra. Tell the sales associate these thoughts when you go bra shopping so she can help find the best style bra for you.

Is the bra worn out?

A bra that is showing signs of wear and tear won’t make you feel confident. (And, boosting your confidence is half a bra’s purpose!) If your bra has stains, snags or tears, it could be the reason you don’t like wearing it. It’s also possible your bra’s elastic has stretched after years of wearing it. A stretched-out bra can’t do its job of supporting your breasts. Buying a pretty, new bra will make you love wearing one again.

Is the bra painful?

There are many bra myths out there, such as all bras are painful. However, no bra should be painful. A good fitting bra will not cause you any discomfort. In fact, you should barely notice a bra that truly fits. If you experience back, shoulder or neck pain from your bra, or even chest pain, you’re wearing the wrong bra size. Get a bra fitting at your local lingerie store to ensure your next bra is the right size and won’t cause you discomfort.

Have you lost or gained weight?

Any fluctuation in weight can alter your bra size. At a previous bra fitting, I told the associate I’d lost about seven pounds. After she fitted me, I realized I needed a smaller band size and a bigger cup size. What?! If you’ve lost or gained even just a few pounds, it could be the reason why you don’t love how you look in your bra.

Is the bra the wrong size?

Many women don’t like their bras because they are wearing the wrong bra size without realizing it. There are telltale signs that you’re wearing the wrong bra size. If you’re bra is too big, you might experience a gap between your breast and the cup; a band that rides up on your back; or loose straps. If the bra is too small, your body may hurt; your boobs may spill over the tops and side of the cups; or the center panel of the bra may not sit on your chest.

Wearing the wrong bra size will make you hate your bra every time. If you think you could be wearing the wrong bra size, opt for a bra fitting as soon as possible.

Your bra can make or break your self-confidence. And, you deserve to feel amazing every time you put your bra on. If you don’t love how your bra fits you, it’s not your body’s fault, it’s the bra’s. Find a lingerie store near you for a free bra fitting, so you can be matched with your perfect bra.

Holiday travel is likely in your near future. While the holidays are exciting, preparing for them can be a little overwhelming. You have things to pack, people to see and you’re hoping there’s no family drama. (Maybe that last one is just me.) Whether you’re spending two days or a week away, you want holiday travel to be as simple as possible.

You can simplify your holiday travel by being strategic with your packing list. Here are six holiday packing tips to help you pack lighter and make traveling easier:

1.  Pre-plan your outfits.

My biggest holiday packing tip is to pre-plan your outfits. Consider the activities you’ll be doing while you’re away for the holidays. You may go shopping, lounge around the house, spend time outside or meet old friends for dinner. Instead of throwing all your favorite winter garments in your bag, strategically plan your outfits. This ensures you have outfits that you’ll love and that you’ll wear all the items you pack.

2.  Only pack a couple of bottoms.

It’s also a good idea to only pack a couple of bottoms. You likely have a go-to pair of jeans, so why pack three or four bottoms just for the sake of having them? Two different types of jeans, a jean and a pant or a jean and a legging are some good options to bring along. Plus, if you pre-planned your outfits, you’ll know exactly which bottoms you’ll be wearing.

3.  Bring headphones and/or a Bluetooth speaker.

Bringing headphones and/or a Bluetooth speaker is a necessity whenever I travel. But, it’s a super important holiday packing tip. Whether you want to get to bed early or need some alone time, you’ll appreciate easy access to music.

4.  Protect your lingerie.

Consider lingerie packing and traveling tips to preserve your lingerie and save space in your suitcase. You don’t want your hair products leaking on and staining your lingerie. And, you certainly don’t want shoes to dirty or snag your lingerie. Some great lingerie packing tips include stacking your bras cup to cup or using a lingerie hard case to preserve the bras’ shape. You can also take advantage of mesh lingerie bags or mesh compartments in your luggage. This will separate lingerie from other items, keeping them safe.

5.  Bring your drink of choice.

Don’t wait until you reach your destination to grab your drink of choice. Stop by the grocery or liquor store on your way out of town so you can bring it with you. You never know what plans family will have or where the closest store may be when you arrive. You’ll be glad you prepacked your wine if things get chaotic early on.

6.  Pack a scarf.

A scarf can easily dress up an outfit or hide the fact that you’re re-wearing a top. You could wear jeans and a sweater to one gathering. Then, wear the same outfit a few days later to another gathering, only adding the scarf. Plus, a scarf is a great accessory to have if its chilly out.

7.  Keep outerwear and shoes to a minimum.

Last, but not least, keep outerwear and shoes to a minimum. These are bulky items that will quickly fill up your suitcase. I’d recommend packing one coat that will match your outfits and bringing two to three pairs of shoes. Perhaps one or two pairs of boots and some tennis shoes will do. Packing tennis shoes ensures you can get some exercise while traveling.

What do all these holiday packing and travel tips have in common? Strategy. Strategy is key to packing light and being prepared for all the craziness the holidays can bring. Not to mention, packing light makes unpacking much less of a headache when you get back home.

Safe travels to you this season!

We believe that you should wear whatever panty style makes you feel confident and comfortable. And with so many panty styles available, there’s an option for every preference. Selecting the panty style that is best for you depends on how much coverage you want.

If you want to be strategic when selecting your underwear, you’ve come to the right place. Let’s go through the various panty styles and discuss how each is designed to benefit your body.

Minimal Coverage

Brazilian thong

brazilian style thong

A Brazilian thong’s backside differs from other thong styles. The backside typically comes down a little lower on your butt, which accents the butt. Brazilian thongs offer high-cut legs and a low cut-cut waist, so they can be worn with many items.

Thong

what do you prefer thongs or panties

A thong offers higher-cut legs, thinner side panels and very little back coverage. Thongs offer a barely-there feeling and appearance, making them ideal when your clothes may show a panty line.

Moderate Coverage

Bikini

A bikini panty is cut like a, well, bikini. It has higher-cut legs and can have wider side panels. The back of the panty offers moderate coverage, but like bikinis, they offer a little cheek. Bikinis offer less coverage than a brief, but more much more coverage than a thong.

Hipster

A hipster brief is a lower-cut version of a brief. The only difference between a hipster brief and a high-waisted brief is that the latter will smooth your tummy. Hipster briefs hit at your hips so it can be worn low-rise pants and bottoms.

Boyshort

A boyshort panty offers the most hip coverage. With low cut legs, the panty offers a smooth silhouette for your hips. There’s moderate rear coverage as well. A bikini panty may show side cheek, while a boyshort may show more under cheek.

Full Coverage

Brief

A brief has lower-cut legs and provides the most rear coverage. Because a brief covers so much of your backside, briefs do not “ride up” as much as bikinis. They tend to stay in place.

High Waist brief

why wear high waist brief underwear

Parfait Charlotte Padded Bra 6901 | Parfait Charlotte High Waist Brief 6917 in Floral Shimmer

A highwaist brief extends over your lower belly. This panty style helps alleviate the lower belly bulge many women experience, and creates a smooth silhouette. And, because the legs are cut lower, your hips have a smoother look as well.

When it comes to panty styles, there’s no right or wrong selection. But, when selecting panties, it’s helpful to how each style will work and (hopefully not) appear under your clothes.
