colorful lingerie

Not sure which lingerie to choose? We’ve got you covered! Finding the right color for you doesn’t have to be hard. Here are some simple things that you ought to consider:

1.  It should be flattering

So, where should you start? Well, your lingerie is an expression of who you are and who you want to be. That’s why the color that you choose is oh-so-important. It should show off your creative and daring side. When you’re browsing and looking for various styles of lingerie, be sure to keep this in mind. You want to do something that is truly daring, rather than merely hiding away.

Needless to say, there are loads and loads of different styles and colors out there. It should pay off to take a look at what’s on offer and consider what it is that suits you and what you’d like to try. If there’s ever a color of which you’re unsure, go ahead and try it. You have no idea what may work for you until you rock it for yourself!

2.  It should suit your hair color

When choosing the color of lingerie that will suit you, you need to also consider your hair color. The tone of your locks will have a real impact on what tones suit you in terms of lingerie. Keep that in mind!

For example, should you have light hair – brown to blonde – you should find that typically ‘warm colors’ tend to suit you. You may find that oranges, pinks, and even nudes look great on you! On the other hand, those with darker hair – red and black – can get away with much more vibrant colors. You may like a deep mauve or red look for something completely dramatic and breathtaking.

3.  And flatter your skin tone

It’s not just your hair color that has to complement the tone you wear. You also need to give a little thought to your skin tone. The last thing you want to do is end up having lingerie that clashes with your tone or, worse, makes you look dreadfully washed out. So, what is it that you really need to know here?

Well, if you happen to have olive skin, with yellow undertones, you can get away with almost anything. We’re talking yellows, pinks, and blues here. Those with pale skin tones need to be more careful; opting for bold colors could be the way to go. Darker tones can get away with most tones, but may look awesome in daringly loud colors like purple.

4.  It should suit your eyes!

No, seriously! If you get this right, it can look absolutely stunning. Choosing lingerie that complements your eye color is a subtle art, but when you figure it out, you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner. The fact of the matter is that you can use your stunning new bras and briefs to highlight two of your most attractive features in no time at all.

Should you have glistening, blue eyes, this method is oh-so-easy! Choose a piece of lingerie with navy and blue undertones. You may want to invest in a French blue colored bra and brief set. Doing so will mean that your eyes really stand out and look fabulous. Equally, should you have brown eyes, choosing a gold or brown lingerie set could be the way to go.

5.  Your bras complement your briefs

You’ve heard the rumors and, yes, they’re all true. Lingerie is meant to come in sets; it’s not supposed to be two mismatched pieces. Your bra and briefs should be the same color or, at the very least, from the same collection. When you’re choosing pieces, this is something that you should very much keep in mind. Having a clear vision of how you want to look will help you choose just what you need.

Of course, you don’t have to be uber strict with yourself here. The two pieces may not be exactly the same color. You could find other ways to make sure that they complement one another. For example, you could get a white bra with red detailing and match it with some red briefs with lace detailing. It’s these small, simple things that make all the difference.

6.  Experiment and have some fun!

Above all else, your lingerie style should be unique to you. While you may want to keep these vague rules in mind, it’s about trying a whole load of things and figuring out what it is that works for you. The truth of the matter is that every lady has her own sense of style. Don’t be afraid to unleash it and choose pieces that just scream you. You won’t regret it.

Finding lingerie that suits you is much easier than you think! Be sure to take the time to try out a range and dedicate yourself to this task. It may be a case of heading to the lingerie store and trying out a range of different pieces. There are so many styles and colors out there that you really should have zero problems finding one that happens to be right for you. Enjoy!
