imperfection is beauty

In a world where people tend to think that beauty is skin deep, it can be difficult to recall what makes us special. And yet, each and every one of us has something that sets us apart from the crowd. We’re all complete individuals – and that’s something that we should celebrate whenever we get the chance!

With that in mind, it’s time to practice a little self-love and take the briefest of moments to remember how truly wonderful we are. It’s not arrogant to admit that we’re incredible. It’s honest. So, without further ado, here are six things that make you unique!

1.  Your sense of style

Over the years, you’ve likely experimented with different styles and trends. We all need a little time to find our personal sense of style. Now, after all those years of trying, you’ve cracked it.

You know who you are. You know what works for your body shape and what does not. You might say that you’ve got it all figured out. That’s a blessing! Don’t overlook it. Relish the fact that you look fantastic because you really do.

2.  You’re unashamed of yourself

The sorry fact of the matter is that many women spend their entire lives being ashamed of who they are. Not you. You’ve practiced enough self care and self love to understand one fundamental truth about life – you have nothing of which to be ashamed. It’s that simple.

You accept the person you are 100% and know that you’re exactly where you’re meant to be right now. That’s all that matters to you.

3.  You boost your friends’ confidence

It’s not just about bring confidence in yourself, you know? Since you’re all about empowerment for everyone, you understand that you have to support those around you too! After all, there are many people in your life who do the very same thing for you now and then.

So, whenever you’re talking to your girlfriends, you make sure that you let them know how utterly special and unique they are. If they need a shoulder to cry on, you’re there for them. Showing them how to shine and be the best version of themselves is the greatest gift of all.

4.  You respect yourself and others

Respect is a two-way street. You have to give it if you want to get it. You know that. That’s why you have the utmost respect for everyone around you.

Whether it’s your best friend or someone you just met at a coffee shop, you treat them the same way. What’s more, you demand the same level of respect back from people. You know it’s what you absolutely deserve, and so you’re not afraid to ask for it.

5.  You have unique interests

What do you like to do in your spare time? You probably have loads of interests and hobbies that keep you busy. You might not know it, but these are the things that make you special and different. You’ve selected passions to make your life fun and progressive. Be proud of that fact!

Whenever you’re in a social situation, don’t be scared to speak loudly about what it is that piques your interest. You never know, you might just find that there’s someone out there who adores the same things that you do. Bonus!

6.  You’re the best “you” there is!

Let’s face it – there’s no one out there that’s just like you. Sure, you may have something in common with other people but we’re all different. Consider all the fabulous things that make you who you are. Think of all your quirks. They are things that you need to boast about… if only to yourself.

You are the most perfect you there is. Let that sink in. Now, go ahead and get out there. Show the world how beautifully unique you are because it’s the truth – and you know it!
