How To Wear A Strapless Bra
A good strapless bra can be hard to find. Whether you’ve found your perfect fit or you’re still searching, here are a few necklines that work perfectly with strapless bras:
Off the shoulder
No one wants their bra straps to show when they’re wearing an off the shoulder top or dress. Off the shoulder necklines pair beautifully with strapless bras. A strapless bra with seamless molded cups, like the Deco Strapless Bra, is almost invisible under an off the shoulder top. If you’re wearing a looser fitting top, elevate your look with a stunning strapless bra with lace cups instead.
Halter
Struggling with finding a bra to wear under your halter top? A plunging strapless bra may be the best solution. Halter tops require special considerations. Look for a strapless bra with a plunging neckline, low center gore, and push-up padding for maximum lift.

Strapless
We couldn’t leave out a strapless neckline, of course! Strapless bras are the perfect match for strapless tops. Take note of the neckline (plunging, cut straight across, sweetheart, etc.) and choose a style accordingly to wear underneath.
One shoulder
Just like halter necklines, one shoulder necklines benefit from a supportive strapless bra. Depending on the fabric and fit of your top or dress.
Regular
Looking for a versatile strapless that can be worn a few different ways? A multi-way bra is just what you need. We have two favorite multi-way bras: the Nouveau Padded Strapless Bra and the Deco Strapless Bra. Both styles come with removable straps, so you can wear the bras with your favorite t-shirts too!

How To Find The Perfect Fit
Still searching for a strapless bra? You might have stumbled upon this article without your dream strapless bra in hand. Don’t worry, with these pro tips you’ll find a supportive strapless bra in no time.
Here’s what to look for in a supportive strapless bra:
1. A wide bra band
Do your strapless bras let you down? Check the bra band. A wide bra band is key to a supportive strapless bra. Though they may be more comfortable, stretchy bra bands won’t provide the same support that a sturdy bra band with side boning will. Bonus points if the bra band is lined with power mesh (which provides extra stability for large cup sizes)!
2. Side boning
Boning isn’t only for corsets and bustiers! The most supportive strapless bras are designed with plastic boning in the band. The boning helps to keep the bra in place and prevents it from rolling up throughout the day.
3. Contour cups
As much as we love the look of lacy three-part cups, molded cups tend to provide a more flattering fit in strapless bras. Look for a strapless bra with seamless molded cups – you’ll get a rounded shape under clothing (similar to the shape you’d see with a t-shirt bra) and it will work under both fitted and flowy clothing.
Pro tip
Ideally, you want a strapless bra with a bra band that stays in place when you move around. Stretch, jump, and move around in the fitting room (or at home if you ordered the bras online) to test the dependability of the bra. Nothing is worse than a strapless bra that makes its way down your back throughout the day. Remember: A strapless bra’s support mainly comes from a strong, sturdy band, so don’t be afraid to size down in the band and up in the cup (your bra sister size) if you’re not getting the snug fit you need.
