Parfait Team: What inspired you to start a business?
Lacey: My obsession with lingerie started as a young teen. My grandmother would have two or more dressers full of beautiful, expensive lingerie which started my curiosity in the magnificent world of lingerie. Unfortunately, it was not always easy finding beautiful lingerie to compliment my curves. It was difficult to find cute, stylish and comfortable bras in my size. I have always been a D+ cup size in bras as a teenager and young adult. Today, I wear a 34HH in most bras. I decided to start my own lingerie business to help other women like me find their size.
PT: What about the lingerie industry interested you?
Lacey: The lack of large cup sizes in beautiful colors.
PT: Tell us about your store name. What inspired the name Lace of Love?
Lacey: Lace of Love is a play on my name Lacey and the love I want women to feel when they purchase an item from Lace of Love. Lace of Love is a Christian based lingerie boutique, so it was very important that we tie Jesus into the business. Our goal is to inspire, motivate and encourage women, which to us is love. Lace of Love mission is to dress women in lingerie while infusing confidence and encouraging self-love.
PT: What do you enjoy most about owning a lingerie boutique?
Lacey: I truly enjoy helping others find their proper bra size. It brings my heart so much joy when the customer states they didn’t know a bra would make them feel this good.

On Bra Fitting:
PT: Why is it important for women to get a professional bra fitting?
Lacey: Our bodies are constantly changing, from childbirth to gaining or losing weight, etc. A professional bra fitter can assist you in any stage of your life to ensure a good fit bra or lingerie item. Professional bra fitters know their products and can inform you of what may work better for your breast shape and body.
PT: What do you wish all women knew about lingerie and bra fitting?
Lacey: The size a bra fitter determines with the measuring tape is not your size, but a starting point. You may have to try on 2 to 3 bras to find the bra that fits. After you find a size that works in one brand, you will still have to try on bras if you find another brand because each company sizing may be different.
PT: What is the key to a perfect fitting bra?
Lacey:
To ensure your current bra fits follow the steps below:
Band: Should fit snug, evenly around the rib cage.
Wire: Wire laying directly under (not on breast tissue) and behind breast tissue.
Straps: Should be on shoulders with no more than 2 fingers being able to fit under the straps.
Cups: All of the breast tissue should fit in the cups without any gapping or breast tissue spilling out.

PT: You’re committed to offering a diverse range of styles and sizes for your customers. What do you look for when selecting new styles?
Lacey: Fit, comfort, support, color, and cut. I first would like to ensure the bra will support the weight of my customers’ breasts then I look for the color and fabric. My goal is to ensure a good fit.
PT: What is the largest bra size you carry?
Lacey: Currently, 52H, but we can special order bras in cup sizes as big as “S.”
PT: How many bras does a woman actually need in her lingerie wardrobe?
Lacey: At least 3 to 4 everyday bras, a strapless bra, 2 to 3 sports bras depending on how often you workout, but these number can vary depending on your lifestyle. You should rotate your bras between wear.
PT: Some of us are shy about buying colored bras. What advice would you give to a woman who loves color, but isn’t sure how to incorporate it into her wardrobe?
Lacey: My moto is just to go with what makes you happy. I love color and I actually do not match color to what I wear but to my skin tone.
